The Zenith Watch Company

Zenith SA is a luxury Swiss watch manufacturer started in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot at the age of 22 in Le Locle Switzerland. The brand is most famous for the El-Primero movement and the creation of the first automatic chronograph. In 1965, the Zenith El Primero watch made history, measuring up to 1/10 of a second with a movement beating at 36,000 vph. Popular timepieces include the Zenith Captain or Capitain, Zenith Heritage, Pilot watches such as the Pilot Montre d'Aeronef Type 20, Star, and the Zenith Class Elite ladies watches. The ultra-thin Zenith chronograph watch, the Zenith Elite has been voted the best mechanical movement. This wristwatch company is now owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
